Today, a bush fire occurred near New Guyana School, resulting in significant smoke, burnt debris, and ash entering our school buildings. You can see a video of the situation by clicking here.
While the fire did not directly affect the school's structure, we are taking the safety and well-being of our students and staff seriously.
In light of these circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to close school tomorrow. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but it is essential to address the situation effectively. Our dedicated team will be working diligently to clean and prepare our premises for a safe return when school resumes.
We will be open again the following day - Tuesday, November 7th, 2023.
